Nermal's first appearance came on September 3, 1979. Nermal calls himself 'The World's Cutest Kitten'. He often ridicules Garfield's looks and age, but Garfield gets in his licks. He often mails Nermal to Abu Dhabi. Nermal was introduced as a kitten belonging to Jon's parents, but now he's just a neighborhood cat who wanders into Garfield's house to annoy the crabby tabby.Taken from Garfield.com
